TIPS FOR HELPING WILDLIFE
Here are some of our top tips for living in harmony with wildlife:
Put up window decals to save birds from window strikes
Dispose of all fish hooks and nets to save seabirds
Do not use glue traps, poisons, or rodenticides. Poison impacts the entire food chain
Do not leave pet or human food outside. It attracts wildlife
Only trim trees and bushes and clean wood and leaf piles in September-December in order to protect baby wildlife
Try to keep cats inside, if you cannot, use breakaway bell collars
Plant native plants in your garden to support wildlife instead of installing bird baths and feeders
Keep an eye on your pets and make sure that they do not disturb nesting babies or their parents
When decorating for holidays, avoid fake spider webs, and looped or dangling decor, and always be sure to properly dispose of food, candy, and edible decor
